Created Viral Graphics on Parliamentary Bills

I led on the social media strategy for bills that were introduced in Indian Parliament by Dr Shashi Tharoor. I recognised that his parliamentary work was not getting the same traction in the media due to the way they were previously communicated - press releases and tweets. I revamped the media plans to focus on communicating in a way that his target audience would understand - infographics.

One such bill, called the Women's Sexual, Reproductive, and Menstrual Rights 2019, ended up going viral on social media due to the infographics I created on it, with over 200k reach

The same infographics were used by top national media outlets when referring to the bill, including The Print, India Today, The Scroll.in, The Swaddle, Feminism in India, Live Law, Deccan Herald, News Nation and more.

I introduced media plans which focused on creating buzz online by simplifying information for his target audience to understand. I worked with the legal team to create infographics where instead of focusing on the legality of the bills, I worked to answer three main questions: what is the bill, what does it do, and why does it matter.
